Building Bridges Through Dialogue: Dr. Julie Watson Selected for National Fellowship
We are proud to share that Dr. Julie Watson, Assistant Dean of the School of Health and Natural Sciences, has been selected to participate in the for 2025–2026, hosted by the Greater Good Science Center (GGSC) at the University of California, Berkeley. This prestigious national fellowship brings together 100 higher education leaders from across the country who are committed to strengthening dialogue, understanding, and connection within their campus communities. The program held its first meeting on September 12.
The Bridging Differences Fellowship is an eight-month virtual learning program that provides participants with research-based tools and strategies to foster constructive conversations across lines of difference—whether culture, political perspective, or lived experience. Fellows engage in collaborative sessions, explore case studies, and share effective practices for building empathetic and resilient communities.
Through this experience, Dr. Watson will gain access to the latest insights from social and behavioral science, develop practical skills for addressing polarization, and connect with a national network of educators dedicated to cultivating understanding on college campuses.
"This fellowship will help me deepen my skills in fostering inclusive dialogue and empathy, supporting 猫咪社区 and Cambridge College’s mission to ensure every member of our community feels valued and heard."
