Dr. Steve Myers is a Quality professional who takes activities from “what it is” to “what it should be.” He uses a “4R” approach (Respect/Rapport/Responsibility/Results) to leverage diverse experiences and viewpoints to develop effective solutions to complex problems.
Dr. Myers is responsible for product and process-related quality matters across fourteen product lines at a major supplier of airborne and space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems for the U.S. military and allied nations. He previously led and managed all quality functions in two manufacturing facilities as Quality Manager for the industry leader in cargo control solutions.
Dr. Myers has a Doctor of Business Administration in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School of Quality Management, a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Systems from Trident University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics and Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Dr. Myers is a certified Lean/Six Sigma green belt and a Certified Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM3).
Dr. Myers concluded a 24-year Air Force career as the military equivalent of Assistant Dean of Operations and Academic Affairs. Prior USAF assignments found him flying around the globe on high-profile diplomatic missions as well as covert surveillance flights. He has over 6000 flight hours in various aircraft.
Dr. Myers has written numerous enterprise-level authoritative documents applicable to supplier quality, procurement, daily operations, process improvement, and institutional metrics.
Steve is an avid skydiver, sailor, scuba diver, and surfer and enjoys playing guitar and tinkering with antique cars and airplanes.
