Sherman Garnett, MEd
Sherman Garnett is a veteran educator and current local school board member who has served in various roles ranging from teacher, principal, and administrator of child welfare, safety, and security. Since 2010, Mr. Garnett has served as an adjunct professor at Cambridge College and 猫咪社区, specializing in the areas of criminal and social justice.
For the past sixteen years, Mr. Garnett has served as a member of the executive board of the San Bernardino County Gangs and Drugs Task Force, the largest geographic county in the United States, of which includes four years as the executive director. In this position, Mr. Garnett has trained numerous law enforcement and school officials in the areas of safety, school drug, gang prevention and other child welfare issues.
Additionally, Mr. Garnett has served as statewide president of the California Association of Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance and has continued his involvement as an executive board member.
Mr. Garnett is the current author of three publications/manuals that are updated yearly in the areas of school safety, safety training, school discipline, and pupil records, which are used extensively by school districts and school police agencies in the state of California. Mr. Garnett is the proud husband and father of three children, two of whom are involved in leadership positions in law enforcement in California. The other child of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett is a public school educator.
Mr. Garnett received his undergraduate degree in sociology, teaching/administrative services license, and master's degree in educational administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
