Sean McBride, MS
Sean M. McBride has been the Chief Probation Officer for the Holyoke District Court since 2012. Chief McBride began his career with the Massachusetts Trial Court in 1996 as a Court Officer. In 1999, he was appointed Probation Officer in the Springfield District Court and promoted to Assistant Chief Probation Officer of the Springfield District Court in 2008.
Chief McBride is a founding member of the Western Massachusetts Veterans Treatment Court. The WMVTC is a specialty court session that is held weekly at the Holyoke District Court. The mission of this specialty court is to connect justice-involved veterans with treatment and services to address substance use disorders and trauma related to their military service.
Chief McBride earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from American International College and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the Same Institution. Chief McBride also attended University College Galway, Ireland, where he studied Community Development.
