Robert Fladger, MEd, LSW
Robert Fladger (Rob) has over 25 years of experience as an Adjunct Professor at Cambridge College/猫咪社区, and is Program Director of the Human Services and Criminal Justice programs for Cambridge College. He has designed, developed, and teaches many of the courses in those programs. Rob also recruits, engages, and supports faculty for the departments within the Undergraduate Program.
With over two decades of experience as a Licensed School Social Worker in the State of Massachusetts, while working with children and their families to optimize academic achievement, Rob brings an expansive breadth of knowledge and experience to his classes. Rob has continuously worked within the Massachusetts Court Trial System as a Court Investigator/Guardian Ad Litem, while also working with incarcerated Adults who will be Returning Citizens from the Penal System. For many years, Rob also instructed Domestic Violence offenders who had to attend court-mandated re-education. He has sat on multiple local Policy Boards that have focused on Criminal Justice Reform.
As Director of Student Services for over 15 years at Year Up Inc. Boston, Robert performed comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate students' needs (academic, familial, nutritional, housing, etc.) to support their workforce readiness. He built partnerships with industry stakeholders related to Workforce Development Programs, School Systems and Court/Juvenile Justice Entities to further the mission of the program.
Robert is called on to advance mentorship opportunities from both Public and Private entities. He continues to work as a family therapist, contracted to the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. He works to be inclusive of historically marginalized populations and consistently aims to sustain their education, opportunities, and incremental improvement of their lives.
