Melissa Sippel is the Director of Communications and Community Outreach for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office in Massachusetts. In this role, she oversees strategic communications initiatives and fosters meaningful engagement between the office and the communities it serves.

Prior to joining the District Attorney's Office, she served as an investigator for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD). At DMH, she conducted investigations into complaints of alleged dangerous, illegal, inhumane, or otherwise abusive situations filed by, or on behalf of, DMH clients. At MCAD, she investigated complaints of alleged employment and housing discrimination across the Commonwealth. Before her work in civil investigations, she served as a sworn Special Police Officer with the West Springfield Police Department.
