Darren Stocker, ABD
Prof. Darren K. Stocker is a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the American Society of Criminology, where he is a Charter Member of the BioPsychSoc Division. He has presented research throughout the United States and the Netherlands. He has published more than 70 articles in journals and trade publications. His chapter contributions appear in Current Issues in Policing and Current Issues in Corrections, both by Cognella Publishing, and American Prisons and Jails: An Encyclopedia of Controversies and Trends, ABC-CLIO, LLC Publishers. His latest book, White Collar Crime: A Practitioner’s Perspective, is also published by Cognalla. He does research on policing, vicarious trauma, and other areas of criminal justice. He recently served as a Grant funded Research Fellow studying drug courts. He is a recognized consultant and expert witness on policing and corrections.
Prof. Stocker is an honors graduate of West Chester University. He earned graduate degrees from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and from the University of Massachusetts – Boston, where his studies included Adult Education theory and Instructional Design. He has designed multiple college courses and has extensive teaching experience with various institutions. He travels extensively and enjoys exploring obscure areas and uncommon international destinations, learning languages and cultures.
